As Liara recovers from injuries received in the battle for Earth, she discovers that her final joining with Shepard has bestowed some unintended consequences. This is the first part of Blue. This is Cerulean. There was no Catalyst-AI, there was no answer to what or why The Reapers were. There was only Shepard, The Crucible and Harbinger. Afterwards there was only Shepard- marked forever by the ancient machines. And for that reason she will be betrayed and hunted down. For that reason she will fight the oldest of enemies.

Shepard struggles to keep her head free of Reaper influence and activate the Crucible while her friends race to save her life. Mass Effect 3 ending fix-it with ensemble cast. Fairly dark, and a quite hard 'T'.

Shepard has panicked exactly twice in her life. On the first occasion, she'd been spaced and starved of oxygen, the Normandy breaking up around her. On the second, her first daughter was born.

The few who are brought in to help work on the aptly-named "Lazarus Project" are some of the best and brightest scientists and doctors in the universe... But they all, every one of them, are visibly shaken when they first see what's left of the Commander.
