Howdy Folks! Lotus here...lets have a little heart to heart ok?

We all write here for various reasons i'm not going to list them because each and every one of you knows why you post what you post here, Fanfic is without a doubt the place to share your wonderful stories be it Fan Fiction or original works (On ficpress.com) this is a wonderful outlet to post fanfiction, I've been here since the first 100 FF7 fanfics were posted, I've seen Fanfic grow by leaps and bounds into what it is today...Mind you life hasn't always allowed me the luxury of this wonderful place and i've had to leave from time to time, i've written, i've reviewed, i've posted, i've deleted...such is the life of Fanfic.

But i am going somewhere with this and the direction i'm pushing towards it "Reviews"

Reviewing only takes a few moments of your time and it is without a doubt an incredible morale boost for writers, on the other side of this well worn coin however Reviewing is the easiest thing not to do...I'm as guilty of doing it as the rest of us, yet when i'm neglectful i remind mysef how good it feels to get a review and thinking in this retrospect i smile and go back to leave a review.

I've seen different approaches to getting reviews, i've never been able to bring myself to hold my story hostage and threaten to take it down if i don't get reviews, i mean doesn't that contradict the act of writing itself? I admit to sometimes being discouraged by lack of Reviews but hey saddle up and push on right?

I've seen some wonderful stories here go unreviewed and i think it must bother authors something fierce to see their hard work go without feedback or opinions, yes it's wonderful to look in your stats and see that over a thousand people have read your story...i mean hell real life should come with a hit counter no? But when you see a thousand hits and maybe 5 reviews total...that's kind of a sad turn over rate isn't it?

To sum it up...none of us are making money posting here, we're all fanboys and fangirls sharing our love for what we enjoy, I happen to be a fan of Final Fantasy 7 and posting fan fiction to share with you all is my love and my pleasure, but like i said no one is getting paid to post here...this writing ladies and gentlemen is for lack of a better description a "Freelance" art, your reviews ladies and gents...your reviews are our "Payday"

So lets share the wealth ok? You have no idea how encouraging and supportive your Reviews can be to the struggling or disillusioned writer, and it only takes a moment of your time.
