I think it's time to clarify the obvious. This account is officially

When I started writing fanfiction, I was twelve. I had a lot to learn about everything, from plot to characterization, sentence structure, pacing, and everything in between. I had problems committing to an idea, defining my own style, and creating my own stories, and therefore fanfiction was a wonderful outlet at the time. But things change. By now I am seventeen, looking forward to the end of highschool instead of the beginning, and searching out a college. I have new dreams now- I'm envisioning NYU, Columbia or Tulane, and doing some real writing. I have much more of a focus on my original work, and barely any interest in sharing it on the internet. I have a social life, interests, hobbies, responsibilities, and frankly enough no time.

I must thank everyone I ever came in contact with from this site. FF.net provided me with a wonderful learning experience, and introduced me to many people who I came to view as highly appreciated friends and mentors. However, the period in my life for FF.net has passed, and I'm moving on to bigger (and hopefully better) things.

This announcement shouldn't come as a shock to anyone-I haven't written anything for any of these stories for almost a whole year. However, frighteningly enough, my favorite original character has survived and evolved. So if you ever read a novel centered around a character named Nickoli who is eerily reminiscent of the one I write about... maybe it's really him. Oh, and I still have a fictionpress.com account under the name Maudlin Attempts used for poetry, just so you know.
