I have been around Fanfiction.net since there were only 60 pages of Harry Potter stories and you could sort by title, author, and censor. I go way back. There is a certain quality to fanfiction from back then. Maybe its because i have fond memories of it. Maybe it has a style to it which comes from requiring the author to make up so much, not having almost 2000 pages to aid you. A lot of original stuff doesn't have so many characters in it. You see a lot more Hermione/Harry pairings, not so much Draco, very little Ginny...lots of stuff.

But I haven't actually written much. I was on a screen name before, Faye Valentine, under which i wrote some songfic fluff using the lyrics from a chipmunk movie and a simple plot. Never really finished it.

I'm relatively good at dishing out mediocre angst. I need to work on the finer points of writing, such as an original plot (little sarcasm right there, my naive friends).

Check out my favorite stories. Some are old, like a a brief interlude w/ emotion, Twist of fate, and Time Told. Others are newer. I recommend them all.
