Author has written 6 stories for Harry Potter, Valdemar universe, and Ninja Turtles. Good god, I've been a member of this website for 19 years. Almost 2/3rds of my life. That's... that's wild. It's been a good run, though. I started here in between reading the third Harry Potter book and waiting for the fourth to be published. To put things in perspective for you, when I joined this site there were fewer than 100 stories in the HP section. So yeah, I've been here for a while. I have taken a few breaks from fandom here and there, mostly when I felt like I needed to be more mature or a better grownup. Let me tell you something, young'uns, abandoning things you love because you think you have to to fit in will not make you happy. It only ever made me miserable, and after a while I came to understand that fandom is and will continue to be a fundamental part of my life. This is the community that brought me some of my most beloved friends, supported me when I was down, gives me something to focus on through my chronic pain, and taught me how to write which I now do professionally. All I can say to you all is thank you. Now, for some more procedural talk... I've pretty much entirely stopped posting the few works I produce here. If you'd like to go looking for them, you can find me at the Archive of Own Own (AO3) under the username saereneth. I'm also on Tumblr, Twitter, Dreamwidth, and DeviantArt under the same name. For the most part I only use Tumblr, though once fandom starts to consolidate around a new platform I will leave Tumblr in a hot second... that site is even more of a disaster than this one.
