![]() Author has written 32 stories for Digimon, Malcolm in the Middle, Card Captor Sakura, Castlevania, Evangelion, Megami Kouhosei, Dragon Ball Z, Super Smash Brothers, Kingdom Hearts, Gundam Seed, Inuyasha, and Mai HiME. Name: Hildebrant Occupation: Dental Assistant strength: willing to work with dark subject matter and violent themes and character death and development weaknesses: growing dislike of romance, strong dislike for yaoi/yuri/shoujo ai/shounen ai, Mary Sues will not be tolerated English literature Favorite Authors: L.J. Smith, H.P. Lovecraft, Stephen King, Clive Barker, Hideyuki Kikuchi favorite Genre: Horror, Splatterpunk, Violence in general favorite character: Julian, The Forbidden Game, D, Vampire Hunter D Favorite Quote: "Reality has Teeth and Fangs Favorite Male characters in anime and video games Guts (Berserk) - They don't get anymore violent or angry than the Black Swordsman himself. Born from a corpse and raised on the battlefield and the only one to ever survive hell on earth. All for revenge on the man who ruined the only semblance of happiness he ever had in life, and the only character in the world of anime who should be allowed to swing a sword around that damn big Kenshiro (Fist of the North Star) - Before there was Guts, there was Kenshiro. Master of Hokuto No Ken and unlike the pitiful Shounen Heroes of today, He wasn't afraid to spill alot of blood to make a point. Yuuichi Tate (My Hime)- The man receives so much damn flack from the fans that it sickens me. Like it was ever easy to choose between two women, including one he doesn't know if he likes or not. His true shining moments come in the Mai Hime manga, which is sadly unaccepted by the Hime fanbase, whom I totally despise Hititose Chitose (Happy Lesson anime) - The only Harem anime lead I'll ever admit to liking. Un like Keitaro and Tenchi who walk around happy and ready to try and win the hearts of their beloved, Chitose is bitter, grumpy and angry at everyone and hates the fact that six of his teachers want to live with him and be his mothers. The pain never ends after that. Still underneath Chitose's grumpy exterior lies the heart of a young guy who does love his family, weirdness and all Ali Al Sachez (Gundam 00) - Of all the vicious and cruel characters to be unleashed in the Gundam universe, Ali stands out as the most completely evil. He thinks of things such as empathy and kindness as revolting and thinks nothing of burning an entire country to the ground, and starting a religious cult that trained children to be mercenaries for a belief that he didn't even believe in himself. Add in some world class mobile suit skills, charismatic abilities to get any soldier to fight under him and a downright nihilistic personality and an obsession with warfare then you have a villain that will go down in history as one of the best in all of Gundam Alucard (Hellsing) - What more vampires need to be. Brutal, violent and not afraid to go all out on their enemies. Siegfried (Soul Calibur) - He fought off the darkness in his soul and vowed to never let it spread to the rest of the world. It doesn't hurt that he wields a huge ass sword Jubei Kibagami (Ninja Scroll) - One kickass Ninja. He has no special skills other than his inhuman sword skills and legendary toughness, able to survive beatings that would kill any other human being. His fight with Himuru Gemma will go down in anime history as one of the best Dante (Devil May Cry) - Wears red, swings a huge ass sword and does it all with style and attitude. Inuyasha only wishes he could be in Dante's league. Sorry mutt boy, go back to your bitchy girlfriends Sora (Kingdom Hearts) - a more powerful pre-teen there never was. Don't let the cheerful attitude fool you, this kid takes down demi-gods and all powerful beings and slices apart whole buildings with only a few swings of his keyblade. Sho Fukamachi (Bio Booster Guyver)- The Guyver himself. He's a meek and ordinary junior high student, but all he has to do is activate his suit of armor and he's tearing apart monsters twice as powerful as he is Hikage (Blood Reign: Curse of the Undead Yoma) - If it weren't for Jubei, this guy would be my top Ninja. He took down two giant spiders, a giant snake, and an all powerful demon that could distort reality. Naruto has nothing on this badass Sieg - (Chaos Legion) - He was faced with having to kill off his own best friend and save the world using the unholy power of the chaos legion. Gotta respect that in a Knight, even if he hated his job. Zuko - (Avatar: The Last Airbender) - Crown Prince of the fire nation and one of the most powerful firebenders in that world. I do respect how he swallowed his pride and joined with Aang to stop his own father. His taste in women sucks however Taichi - (Digimon) - He was just a normal soccer playing pre teen who had to lead a bunch of his friends around a strange and new world in hopes of keeping them alive. So what if his past wasn't as emo as Koushiro's or Yamato's He got the job done and never said die when it came down to it. I still don't like how he turned out in the end of season 02 Jiro - (Android Kikaider the animation) - He is an outcast to both the androids and the humans, he has no real allies and is more often than not, forced to kill his own brethren. The only light at the end of the tunnel is Mitsuko and the hope that one day he'll be able to go back to her. Golgo 13 - (Golgo 13) - No fancy speeches, no cheerful outlooks, just a stone cold scowl and a bullet with his target's name on it. No matter the situation, Golgo will get the job done. The man can make the impossible, possible. D - (Vampire Hunter D) - Cold, Aloof, alone, and deadly. You'll never find a better vampire hunter than the man with the single syllable name. The most powerful half breed vampire ever known with a list of dead bloodsuckers longer than even his own longsword. Hajime Saito - (Rurouni Kenshin/Samurai X) - Fuck Kenshin and his pacifist crap. This guy is the only reason you need to ever watch Ruroken. Saito is the man himself. His main technique is the Gatostsu thrust, and that's all he needs to Fuck your world up. Impenetrable turtle shell shields, fight merchants and even the battousai himself, he finds a way to survive them all. Gauron - (Full Metal Panic) - Behind every good hero like Sousuke, there's an even better villain like Gauron. Seemingly unkillable and nearly immortal, his skills in and out of an arm slave are frightening and his style and ruthlessness are what makes him fit to be on my favorites. Archer - (Fate/Stay Night) - The sarcastic, red clad badass of F/SN with some of the coolest powers in the series history. The man will never say die and if the situation is even at its worst, Archer will never let it get to him. Even in a situation where he has no chance, he still walks in with a smile, and his twin swords, and the spell that defines him: Unlimited Blade Works Vicious - (Cowboy Bebop) - The man lives up to his name and then some. Cold, ruthless and more than a little sadistic with an extreme dislike for the age of peaceful negotiations that his crime syndicate elders live in, as well as a deep seated thirst for revenge for the man and woman who dared to betray him. It also doesn't help that even if you come packing a gun and he comes using a sword, he's still the one with an advantage. Spike - (Cowboy Bebop) - Laid back and still badass. He may be inspired by Lupin, but this cat is in a class of his own with his unkempt afro haircut, Jeet Kun Do skills and his willingness to do anything he can for the woman he loves, and the payback he dishes out to his enemies. Griffith - (Berserk) - Before he became Guts' most hated nemesis, Griffith was a master tactician and the LAST man you ever wanted to cross on and off the battlefield, just ask the numerous palace royals he had assassinated for getting in his way. Born of a peasant and forced to make himself strong enough to lead the most elite band of mercenaries in all of Midland known as the Band of the Hawk, and forced to sometimes go to deeper and darker lengths all to accomplish his dream of having his own kingdom. One can't help but at least have a grudging respect for what he did prior to the darkest event in Berserk's history. Heero Yuy - (Gundam Wing) - Many people will argue against me having his name up on here but, I'm sick and tired of the Fucking UC Bullshit Dammit!! Fuck the Zeon, Fuck the Feddies, and don't tell me what to fucking like!! and before he was forced to change by Relena and everyone else to be less cold hearted, Heero was the best damn mobile suit pilot in the AC universe with few true rivals. His vow to not kill anyone in the final eps and Endless Waltz aren't something I'm proud of but his personality in the early eps are what truly defines a perfect soldier. Zodd - (Berserk) - The Immortal warrior, Nosferatu Zodd. Origins unknown but a history on the battlefield that is longer than any other human being in history, and the strength and skills used to decimate whole armies with only a large sword, and this is before he even needs to use his Apostle form. Mihawk - (One Piece) - I loathe One Piece with its crappy art style and Goku Wanna be in Luffy but Mihawk is the shit. One swing of his sword and you've got at least a hundred pirate ships turned into kindling. Now imagine fighting the monster himself. If you're lucky, he'll only duel you using his smaller blade, the bigger blade is only reserved for if you're worthy of being cut by it. Scar - (Fullmetal Alchemist) - His whole country and his people were almost completely wiped out and exterminated from the earth. Someone had to pay, that someone being the State Alchemists. Using an arm grafted from his younger brother that allows him to break down any type of molecular substance, from metal to flesh, now all that matters is to complete his holy quest and avenge his people. Lelouch -(Code Geass) - At first I wasn't too fond of him but I love how he can get a small band of rebels and turn them into a dedicated fighting force. Truly cunning, to think that even before he had the Geass ability he was a threat. Such as calmly manipulating rebel soldiers to precisely take out enemy troops without ever having to rely entirely on his Geass ability. Favorite Female Characters Miriallia Haww -(Gundam SEED/Destiny) - Just an average girl caught up in a war between two different races. Loses her boyfriend in the war and even when faced with someone who made a cruel joke about his demise, she doesn't take the low road and kill him, rather she refrains from taking another life. Which is something that receives very high marks from me. Arcia Rinslet - (Chaos Legion) - The one remaining Maiden of the silver, despite not having the power of the Chaos Legion like Sieg, she does have a pair of twin pistols that she uses with deadly efficiency, and despite like so many other girls with guns, Arcia's personality is hardly that of an ice cold bitch, which receives high marks with me. Yoko Littner - (Gurren Lagann) - Another badass babe with some serious guns. And her firearms aren't too shabby either. She can take out a much larger mecha than herself with only a few shots of her high powered sniper rifle Elena - (Street Fighter) - An amazing fighter that comes into a fight not with all sort of high and mighty, stuck up bitch attitude that Chun Li or Makoto fight with. Rather she goes into her fights with a cheerful and positive attitude as well as some badass capoeria moves. A seriously underrated character in the SF world if there ever was one. Kairi - (Kingdom Hearts) - One of my favorite female characters that much like so many male characters on my list, receives quite a bit of flack from the dumbass fans. She is willing to risk all she has to protect Sora and even goes into the fight alongside him. Some of the scenes where she and Sora are together are some of the most heart-warming scenes in the KH series. Nodoka Miyazaki - (Mahou Sensei Negima) - A shy bookworm who is somewhat afraid of men yet one of her greatest goals is to win the heart of her teacher, never mind the fact that he's only ten years old, to see her risk her own phobia and grow into a stronger person all to win her teacher's heart is a good enough reason for me to continue reading the series. seeya around Favorite Quotes: "A serpent's venom poisons slowly after the bite" - (Vicious Cowboy Bebop) a better way of telling somebody they're fucked there never was "Anyone who dies because they get caught up in someone else's fight is a small fry who doesn't have the strength to fight in the first place" - (Guts) easiest way to get rid of the weak I've ever heard "I don't like Elves, And I don't like you" - (Guts to Puck) but I've been known to use it quite a bit myself since I can't stand the sight of elves "It Pisses me off when I see weaklings. I feel like I wanna crush them" - (Guts) as do I Guts. As do I "If you're always worried about crushing the ants beneath you, you won't be able to walk" - (Guts, Berserk) The world needs to take this into account more often "A long time ago...There was an old man...Who, like you excelled in summoning Incantations. You know what happened to him? I tore him into bits and pieces" - (Pan, Island) piece of advice, don't ever fuck with Pan "It's all true, God is an astronaut, Oz is over the rainbow, and Midian is where the monsters are" - (Peloquin, Nightbreed) The truth comes out "the time has come, it's time to show you the abyss, of the darkness" - (Victor Delacroix, Chaos Legion) those who have wronged him, will be forced to pay the price I shall never forgive you for what you have done. It's still too soon DuPont: And you, Preston, the supposed savior of the resistance are now its destroyer and along with them, you've given me yourself... calmly... coolly... Entirely without incident. Alexandra Amberson: If there's no hope, no magic, I'll have to rely on myself. Beaumont: My God! Djinn: Do you have any idea how frustrating it is to have unlimited power, and only be able to use it when some worm asks you for something? Djinn: My patience wears thin. Alexandra Amberson: What happens if I wished you dead? Djinn: You wish to know what I am? To you, i am this: The cry of the abandoned child. The whimper of the whipped beast. I am the face that stares back at you from the shadowed mirror. The hollowness at the heart of all your hopes, Alexandra. I am despair (Wishmaster) I'd say it would be a good idea to pray Alex, but I doubt it'd do any good Djinn: Listen to their screams, child, listen to the music of their agony. (Wishmaster) Such a sweet symphony Kirsty Cotton: Who are you? Boone: You don't understand! I've killed people. Old Man: Did they kick you out? Is that why you hate 'em so much? Doctor: Why are you so sure it will be a boy? Prisoner KSC2-303: I didn't mean to save you. They just pissed me off. (Versus) Martin: Let's see if this angel bleeds! (Flesh and Blood) Griffith: Yes... Amongst the thousands of comrades... and the tens of thousands of enemies... there was only one man... you were the only one... who ever made me forget my dream. I make the offering. (Berserk) The Lord of Darkness: Every wolf suffers fleas. 'Tis easy enough to scratch! The Lord of Darkness: The dreams of youth are the regrets of maturity. The Lord of Darkness: What is light without dark? (Playing with the unicorn's horn) Blix: Fire, fire, burning higher, making music like a choir! Blix: Black as midnight, black as pitch, blacker than the foulest witch. Blix: Mortal world turned to ice... Here be goblin paradise! Princess Lily: You are nothing but an animal! The Lord of Darkness: laughs We are all animals m'lady. Old Indian: Once upon a time, a woman was picking up firewood. She came upon a poisonous snake frozen in the snow. She took the snake home and nursed it back to health. One day the snake bit her on the cheek. As she lay dying, she asked the snake, "Why have you done this to me?" And the snake answered, "Look, bitch, you knew I was a snake." (Natural Born Killers) Mickey: It's just murder. All God's creatures do it. You look in the forests and you see species killing other species, our species killing all species including the forests, and we just call it industry, not murder. (Natural Born Killers) Gabriel: I'm an angel. I kill firstborns while their mamas watch. I turn cities into salt. I even, when I feel like it, rip the souls from little girls, and from now till kingdom come, the only thing you can count on in your existence is never understanding why. (The Prophecy) Catherine: Go to hell! Lucifer: Other angels have made this war because they hate you, you and all humans. God has put you in his grace and pushed them aside. They're desperate. They've never been able to conquer the other loyal angels, and so this war has remained in stalemate for thousands of years. And while this state of affairs endures no soul can meet its god. Your parents, and their parents, and so on from the beginning lie still in wormy earth. Of course, some of them do come to me eventually, for while heaven may be closed I am always open, even on Christmas. (The Prophecy) Lucifer: Humans... and how I love you talking monkeys for this... know more about war and treachery of the spirit than any angel (The Prophecy)
The Collector: Brayker has just burned his face with the Key causing him to jump off the window HUMANS... You're not worth the flesh you're printed on... Corkus: "I AM IN HELL!! This was supposed to be our new beginning. Weren't we going to make a fresh new start after we rescued Griffith? Wasn't that it? For a God damned year now, we've lived like rats. The lucky ones, of course, the other half are dead. "But have faith" they said, "Once Griffith is back, he will lead us to glory". BULLSHIT!! (Berserk) Fender Tremolo: First there was the collapse of civilization: anarchy, genocide, starvation. Then when it seemed things couldn't get any worse, we got the plague. The Living Death, quickly closing its fist over the entire planet. Then we heard the rumors: that the last scientists were working on a cure that would end the plague and restore the world. Restore it? Why? I like the death! I like the misery! I like this world! (Cyborg) |
