Author has written 3 stories for Final Fantasy VIII, Chrono Cross, and Final Fantasy: Tactics. About time I updated this profile to something a little more specific. Anyway, I like to think of myself as a dabbler in writing- coming out and saying I'm a writer seems a little pompous, huh? I've started my (hopefully long) "career" in fanfiction, kind of gearing up before that grand old original story that every author has inside of them makes its way out of me. It might seem strange to some people that I spend the bulk of my writing time in fanfiction, but I really enjoy it. I like paying homage to the worlds others have created for me to enjoy, and I like trying to do it well. It's a hobby, but it's one I take seriously. So when I write, I write seriously- but I don't always have serious writing. Getting my drift? Yes? No? Ahaha... I pepper around the Anime and Game sections for the most part, really- dare I venture outside of them? No, it would be a strange and foreign world! In any case, as I said, I'm really into what I write- you won't see me write something for the sake of any other but myself...or, um, so I'd like to think! In truth, while I write for my own skill-honing and love of the art, I really do write for anyone who'd enjoy my story. I like entertaining people, and I like making them happy with what I write. Be it a scene with fighting, with pain, with love, with hate- a scene with immense intensity or airy humor- I'd like for at least one scene out of any story I write to be taken with someone when they finish it. Puts a spring in my step. My pride and joy at the moment would be Dreamwatch, a Chrono Cross retelling that I'll probably finish when I'm, oh, 50. Do give it a read if you're bored- it could be quite the epic in your eyes, I don't know. Either way, you can tell the grandkids about it. Hell, they might even be posting "finish the next chapter." For whatever reason, here I have a list of some of my favorite "obscure" characters. If you ever feel the need to write a story about them, give me a holler! Kelvena (Xenogears) E-mail's also been changed as of February 2005. So no more monkey_d_rufi. Tragic! |
