![]() Author has written 3 stories for Buzz Lightyear of Star Command, and Mighty Ducks. Hey (to whoever reads this), I'm still alive! I've been pretty busy since the last update (which I can see was from all the way back to 10/2008!) Having a family and a job really takes a lot of me most days! I write mostly fiction now, but I have been working on a few Mighty Duck stories within the last couple months with a new character that I've created (those stories might be posted...I haven't decided yet! But I like how my first MD:TAS story has turned out!) I've also been getting back into drawings, but I mostly do photography. You can see my work on deviantArt under the the user name sunrise-in-silver. Enough about the update, here's a little bit about yours truly: I just had my 27th birthday, I have a 5 year old son, and been married for five years too. I've also been working part time...which gives me more time to do things with family and my writings/hobbies and enjoyin' life! 12/13/2010 2nd Update - Wow! Second update two days in a row! Go me! Anyway...as I said before, I'm working on a Mighty Duck story that is an introduction to my kinda new and revamped character, Andromeda "Anna" Normandy. I'm hesitant to upload the first part of the introduction because it's been a while since I've published anything on here...but hopefully pretty soon! Be on the look out for Anna's introduction story called "Anna and the Captain!" as I might publish it! It takes place 10 years after the ducks end up on Earth. Here is a brief synopsis: Badly beaten, Andromeda "Anna" McNamara barely escapes her captors, the Saurians. Instead of sending her to Limbo with the others, the Saurians kept her prisoner for over six months and torture her. She is found by Wildwing and the team in a heavily wooded part of the mountains. But Anna's no stranger to Wildwing. When she wakes up, she finds herself at The Pond with no memory of the past year. As she puts the pieces together, she must also adapt to her new surroundings, and struggles with her resurfacing feelings for the team captain. When Wildwing tells her how he feels, it's all too much for Anna to take and she runs. Knowing that she will come back, Wildwing waits for her. But when she remembers the torture she went through, there will be hell to pay, but will the taste of revenge put her in more danger than it's worth? Will Wildwing save her in time or will Anna die? If she survives, will she admit her feelings and be with the one she loves? I know it might sound corny, but the story is pretty good. So until next time... UPDATE! (12/17/10) So I decided to bite the bullet and published the first chapter of "Anna and The Captain." It went though many revisions, and the initial plot/story shifted during that process...so it gets a little interesting as the chapters go on. Please review it! So...I'm currently working on Chapter two of Anna and the Captain...with a slight case of writer's block, and it's really bugging me. So don't worry, chapter two will be up fairly soon. Update (1/6/2011) Sorry about the delay for chapter 3 of "Anna and the Captain." Due to the holidays and oral surgery, working on it became difficult and publishing it was put on hold. But I've prevailed and have written not only Chapters 3 but Chapter 4 as well. Those chapters will be up soon. I've done all I can with Chapter 3, and ended up having another bout of writer's block. As I said, I'll post them soon as I'm done critiquing and editing them, as both chapters will most likely go up at the same time...as some sort of an apology. I tried to keep chapter 3 flowing like I did with chapters 1 and 2, but with what I wanted to cover, it was near impossible. I think that I got what I wanted to say across and it works, sort of... My goal is to have them both up within a matter of days and to start work on Chapter 5 soon, as I'm working on a couple other projects. So in short, the chapters are close to being done editing wise, so they'll be up VERY soon! Update 1/30/11 Due to a severe lack of creative inspiration, I've put "Anna and the Captain" on hold for a little while. I have another version that's 100% completed, but I'm not sure if it's "exciting" enough to publish here. When I did the first version of "Anna and the Captain," it was something that I did it for myself. It was a background story for my character and to satisfy my sappy romantic side. That version is more romantic than the adventurous version I had in mind. The premise of version 1 was a little different, but more sappy. Hopefully I will be able to complete the "adventurous" version of the story and post all the chapters for it, but as I said, at the moment, I have very little inspiration for it. I deeply apologize for this. If anyone has some ideas for inspiration, send them my way!!!! |
