Even Sherlock is human, and in the early days of their friendship, John witnesses one such event. Johnlock, if you squint.

After "the fall," an attack on Lestrade proves that Sherlock's friends aren't as alone as they thought.

Caught up in the whirlwind of Sherlock's life, John had become allied with Lestrade, but not exactly acquainted with the man. It took Moriarty to teach him what he really needed to know about the detective inspector.

A rattled Sherlock places a desperate call after that first night out on the moor. A missing scene from "Hounds."

His brother told him on the other side of the glass. He gets to say goodbye. That's when he decided. He hasn't lost everything. Not quite. He can still make choices. And he will choose how this ends. Two-shot. Sherlock on the plane, HLV into TAB.

Sherlock is gravely injured and struggles to hold on until help arrives. Sally Donavan is the first one to find him and she stays with him until the medical help gets there.

Lestrade visits a seriously injured Sherlock and John in the hospital after the bombing at the pool. Sherlock!whump.

Sherlock returns, but his friendship with John is damaged. Nevertheless, they embark on their final hunt to finish off Moriarty's net, but it ends in a catastrophe: Sherlock is shot and lapses into a coma. As John keeps vigil, he reads Sherlock's diary written during the hiatus. Slowly, he begins to understand and finds himself wishing for another miracle. Completed.

Sherlock is visited by three women after being nearly-murdered: the first startles him enough his heart nearly stops again. The second throws papers down on his bed and calls him names. The third almost makes him forget the other two even exist. Spoilers Episode 3 series 3
