It's early winter in the south of France. Athos and Porthos find themselves stuck in a swamp while trying to rescue their horses from bandits who may or may not be simple horse thieves. Aramis and d'Artagnan stand a valiant defense of their mired friends and all of them pay with various levels of injury and regret. -Complete.

Aramis had awakened multiple times and, aside from the lapses in short-term memory, seemed to be intact mentally, but his friends were no less worried about him. Tag to 1.09 Knight Takes Queen.

April of 1625 had been one of the hardest months of Porthos' life. But in a strange way, it had probably been one of the best as well. Savoy-centric origin story, in which Aramis is grieving, Porthos is a saint, and Athos just kind of shows up, eventually.
