An attempt to go against a popular trope. What if, instead of becoming dark/grey and gaining more power that way, Harry had been a little more considerate? Begins with a small change in first year, and sticks close to the original, but sometimes small changes can add up to change the world.

For a thousand years the Sorting Hat has put students where they fit best. Only a handful of times throughout history has it ever been said the Hat picked wrongly. In the year of 1991, that's the only thing people were saying. On the one-thousandth-and-one year of Hogwarts, the Sorting Hat decided to change things around. Pity it didn't tell anyone beforehand.

At some point in our lives we learn that we have to take a grain of salt for everything we see, hear and read because just because someone says it's the truth, doesn't mean it is. Shame the Wizard world doesn't know that.

Wizard lack common sense. Hermione had declared that in their first year at Hogwarts. Well, even after the war, with Voldemort dead, wizards refused to change the things that were important to prevent events that led to the war in the first place to repeat themselves. Time for Harry to make sure, at the right time and place, to teach them.

The Better Burrow arc from my Lone Traveler compendium: The Lone Traveler encounters the Burrow before it was expanded. Maybe it can be made into a safer and more comfortable home for this version of the Weasleys. It's amazing how much a building can change history.

Severus Snape is confronted by the Lone Traveler on the Eve of his ascention to Slytherin Head of House. The visiting Harry teaches him to change the course of Slytherin and all of the Magical world. All he has to do is get them to open their eyes. The major portion is almost exclusively in the viewpoint of Severus Snape. Now with Lucius Malfoy thrown in.

Caught in the backlash of Voldemort's Killing Curse, Harry is thrown through time to a world so very different from his own.

No two minds are alike; no two students of Occlumency can learn it the same way.

Heartbroken, Harry is sent back to the Dursleys after seeing his godfather die right before his eyes. Alone and miserable, Harry turns to the book Luna gave him. He was entitled to a vacation, right? Unfortunately, Harry had forgotten the Harry Potter factor, meaning that if anything could go wrong, it will. Or did it?

Harry rather complicates his life and unwittingly gets revenge on his relatives when he sends out a letter addressed to "A Blood Relative Who Isn't Petunia or Dudley" and a former follower of Grindelwald who'd just gotten out of prison and was looking for a place to stay receives it.
