Sequel to "Now you're here, I can see your Light": Athos had always thought himself to be unflappable. Facing death on a daily basis - that he is used to and getting killed is part of his expectations. It's another burden of loss he fears. There are those who are afraid of the dark and cower before it, there are those who strike up light against it and some even allow others into its glow. But then there are those who seek to build a beacon; a symbol, a signal, a warning, a guide – a light that would remain long after they are gone. Modern AU- Sight works due to light reflecting off objects into our eyes- Most people are able to see the world in perfect colour, whereas some experience life in shades of grey. Aramis has spent his life pretending he doesn't mind being colourblind, but his friends can see past this, and have a plan to make his birthday the best ever. Aramis and Athos get trapped in a hole dug as an animal trap. Aramis is badly injured and they can't get out. As time passes, they wish for some light...just a little light! (My entry in the Fete des Mousquetaires contest for January: light)
