Aramis spends a night in the woods disoriented and alone, not remembering how he got there or why. While there, someone unexpectedly haunts him. (My entry in the Fete des Mousquetaires contest for October.)

"... As he puts a hand on the knob he feels a weird sensation, like a tingling. It's almost painful and he snatches his hand away automatically. He touches it again more cautiously but feels nothing, so he turns the knob, shaking his head. The silence of the house must be getting to him." Sometimes we feel as though we are more of an annoyance to everyone than we really are. Of course, with our four musketeers, things always escalate before they are talked about. Five years after leaving Paris, Athos and his family return. Having come to some realizations when his son was born, Athos has a long overdue conversation with Aramis about fatherhood. Entry for June's "Fete des Mousquetaires" challenge.
