Looking around the room, he realized he was in the infirmary on Yavin 4, but how did he get there? Jyn & Cassian. Rewrite for the end of Rogue One.

When the newly formed Empire attacks Kashyyk, Mon Mothma loses hope. Rage consumes her until her only desire is to physically injure Palpatine for his betrayal. She abandons her plans with Bail Organa and sets out to become a fighter pilot. Mon Mothma must find the courage to step back into her leadership role or the un-sprouted seeds of the Rebel Alliance will be washed away.

Cassian Andor always knew he was destined to die a violent death... Until he met one Jyn Erso, at least. Fate afforded him a thousand chances and he took not one of them. He would never admit to himself how he felt. They had a Rebellion to save after all. I recently saw Rogue One and the end particularly touched me (**SPOILERS**). I wondered what was going through Cassian's mind as he looks at Jyn. This one-shot came from it.

The eyes she knew so well were alight now, the eyes who saw her. They were alive and dancing with an excitement, a life she had witnessed only once before, light drawn from a well of hope dug deep from a withered soul. Rogue One AU!

Did anyone else feel like Jyn died much too soon, with many questions left unanswered? Well, the Force doesn't die, the energy continues. And Jyn awakens on the other side, where she will finally be able to unite with Cassian and her father and a few others who have been waiting to meet her...Including the Force.
