Lestrade helps Sherlock home after the events in Belgravia. And gets a little leverage along the way.

Yeah, I know that sounds dirty. This is a story inspired by an LJ prompt: how to get Sherlock to take a pill.

"Does Mycroft know you're reading Reaper Man while kidnapping me?" In which John is kidnapped, John is kidnapped again, and John is kidnapped many more times. Or, how John learned Anthea's name.

A man like Sherlock Holmes is considered a hero by some and a right bastard by others. But he also proves the adage that one can tell at least as much about a man from his detractors as one can from his friends. Here, Sherlock solves two crimes and one mystery, and inadvertently reveals a little about his enemies, a little about his friends, and quite a bit about himself.

When Sherlock is abducted and held hostage, John embarks on a dangerous rescue mission 3,000 miles from home. (Collab by me and Scottie)

Set in the near future (w/Pre-S4 presumptions but now AU) the Watsons share their euphoria after the birth of their baby girl with their Best Man/Best Friend. Would Sherlock have been able to value such human emotions without the critical thresholds he experienced in A Scandal in Belgravia? A look at select moments (mostly from ASiB)that influenced Sherlock's emotional development.

Sherlock's Mind Palace was the only place completely free of the normal, boring people. But, at some point, his opinion of them changed and they began to make appearances even in his head. He knows that it's somehow John's influence, but he's not sure how it all happened...

While at a crime scene, Lestrade considers the personality of Sherlock's flat-mate.

The Diogenes Club is under siege! An influential female former cabinet minister has decided to take on the misogynistic attitudes of Mycroft & co. Women's groups are picketing the club (loudly); members are 'running' around like ants in a waterlogged tunnel, and Anthea is smiling serenely at Mycroft's agitation. What is an ordinary doctor to make of the situation?

John Watson might not be a genius like Sherlock Holmes, but his line of work is not one for the weak-minded, and there were plenty of times when Sherlock was baffled by John's insight. Especially when John fired off those (almost) zero-punctuation dictations.

Post-Reichenbach. In desperation, the remnants of Moriarty's organization resort to kidnapping Sherlock's friends. Mycroft and Sherlock try to recover the hostages, and Sherlock must seek forgiveness for the destruction he left behind when he faked his own death.

Rescuing Sherlock from the clutches of a violent terrorist cell forces John to rely on a long-unused, lethal skill.

Companion piece to Missing in Action (deliberate reversal in title words and perspective): The Derailment from John Watson's POV, in which John discovers, through action what he misses about his former life/army career, but also that Sherlock and Mary have turned his life around in new ways. (All disclaimers about not owning Sherlock apply.) AU Season 4 mostly canon compliant.

Sherlock gets Mycroft a goldfish for his birthday; Mycroft is amused, and retaliates. Things escalate from there. Kind of AU, because it's after their conversation in TEH, but John is living at Baker Street. If you want, you can see it as when he's avoiding Mary after learning she was an assassin. Warning: here there be fluffiness, at least towards the end.

In which Mycroft has dared to send his baby brother a gift for his birthday. Sherlock does not approve. John helps him plot revenge. Mainly involves birthdays.

Book 2 of 'The Fallen': After ten days of unspeakable torture at the hands of Sherlock's worst enemies, John Watson has returned to Baker Street to live with a man whose death, no matter how fake, still haunts him. John Watson is missing during an Underground derailment. With both a very pregnant Mary and Sherlock fearing for his safety, Sherlock goes to the scene to find his friend and grapples with the difficulties of human nature—mostly his own. AU Season 4 - Mostly canon compliant with BBC Sherlock BUT written BEFORE Season 4's January 1st 2017 premiere.

A look at John's therapy sessions with Ella right after he was discharged. "John looked at his discharge orders yet again. His chest tightened every time he read it. His military career was over."

Sherlock and John are both on record as believing the other to be "the best and wisest man" he has ever known. In this story John demonstrates his wisdom by asking something very particular of Sherlock, and Sherlock demonstrates a bit of his own with his answer. Oh, and he solves a murder, too. Set between A Scandal in Belgravia and The Hound of Baskerville.

On holiday in Northumberland, John and Sherlock discover there are more things going on than are listed in the tourist's guide. What exactly is the dog doing in the night-time? How is the cormorant important? And how difficult is it to avoid drowning in a tidal current?

Heads in the fridge were not John's breaking point. Corrosive chemicals on his possessions, he could tolerate. But the tarantula is too much. So John the eternally unfettered is afraid of spiders? Interesting... (Of course, don't ask Sherlock to take the case with the asp in the ducts. Snakes, why did it have to be... oh, never mind, he doesn't get the reference anyway.)

Jim has Sherlock's pet to himself, so, of course, he's going to play with him. John plus Jim plus M rating equals fairly creepy rather quickly.
