It's hard to find an all-human story that treats the characters as morally and honestly as does canon, yet also presents them in a context that approaches the intensity of a vampire/human dynamic. Stories that can respectfully accomplish _both_ of these, are exceptional. In the process of this, originality and creativity are a given.
