Taking place a month after the end of Sonic Resistance, the war to overthrow the Eggman Empire has been won. Eggman has vanished and so too has Infinite. Things are starting to return to normal as people return to their old lives, homes, and jobs. But as Badnik attacks start to grow more coordinated and more dangerous, worry begins to rise that something is brewing in the shadows.

Before Eggman conquered the world, Shadow was the first person to meet the masked monster Infinite and the first to try and confront him. But after Infinite defeats Sonic on that fateful day, Shadow attempts to confront him again, only for him to be transported away from South Island and to somewhere else. He's going to have to find a way back, he has to stop Eggman and Infinite.

{FORCES REWRITE} Eggman has taken over 99.9% of the world, Sonic is missing and presumed dead. The only ones left to fight off Eggman is the Resistance lead by Knuckles, but can they actually defeat the doctor without the help of Sonic? Can they take down the mad Doctor's grand empire? Can the world truly be freed? Or will they be destroyed by the Doctor's dangerous weapon?
