I love "Harry is rescued from the Dursleys" stories but never found one that was quite right. So I had to write one myself.

Harry finally takes up the roll he was born to fill, and Albus Dumbledore isn't happy at all. A new power rises to defeat Voldemort and reshape Magical Britain. This is for those who like magic mixed with muggle technology and a good war story.

This is a response to Paladeus's challenge, Survivor Harry. The rules of the challenge are available in the first chapter, but the full version can be found on Paladeus's page. Death realizes that things went bad when Harry Potter is unable to have children after Voldemort hit him with the second killing curse. When this was realized things went very wrong and Death knew she just have to fix it. So when Harry finally dies she's there to meet him and hopefull set things right. What if Lily and Petunia had been able to reconcile while Lily was still early in school? If the two remained close until Lily was forced to go into hiding? Harry won the war. It's a couple months afterwards and unexpectedly, he's quite literally picked up off the face of the world and shoved into another. One where Harry Potter died a long time ago and the Potter family's still fighting a war with a Dark Lord whose ruling over the world one muggle murder at a time. They say he's their only hope. Harry doesn't really want in.
