SG-1 are sent to Atlantis to combat the threat of Wraith, since the defeat of Earth's Enemies in the Milky Way arguably the greatest threat mankind faces. Where AR-1 the up until then Premier Atlantis Gate Team are overshadowed and shown up repeatedly. Eventully Atlantis falls after SG-1 are recalled to earth leaving AR-1 to set things right.
