Non-slash. An interlude between Estel (aka Aragorn) and Legolas after Estel has been told of his heritage. Has been done a million times I reckon, but I decided to do one. Make sure to check the 'Note' in the pre-story.

While bored stiff, young Estel goes on the hunt for a homely adventure. But his attention gets diverted when his warrior instinct kicks in and he his caught up with some familiar shards. Glorfindel makes and appearance.

The number of the Orcs is growing. Elladan and Elrohir ride out to warn the nearby Dunedain and find themselves entangled in something larger than they bargained for.

Estel is left behind by his brothers. Something Glorfindel said is remembered, and Elrond has a problem with it...

Young Estel is sick. The Twins decide to cheer him up, with a few... unforseeable consequences.

Once, the elves of Rivendell sang happy songs. Once, Elrond was regularly heard to exclaim, 'how jolly' or 'how marvelous'. Then something went wrong. Bandaging his foster son for the 20th time, Elrond began to find it difficult to be so upbeat...
