Thorin in the afterlife, facing family, doubts and fears, and the future

Fili and Kili are young and inexperienced by Dwarf standards, so how will they convince their uncle to take them on a hopeless quest to defeat a dragon? When a woman arrives at Ered Luin on a hopeless quest of her own, Fili sees the chance for adventure, but experience comes at a price and not all endings are happy. Fili/OC

Fíli and Kíli get in a fight, and Fíli stomps off on his own... but when he doesn't return, it's up to Kíli to find him. But something has happened to Fíli, and he no longer seems to be the brother Kíli knows. No slash.

"You… You promised you would never… ask me to leave your side again." In the traumatic aftermath of the Battle of Five Armies, a seriously injured Fili, wracked with survivor's guilt, is refusing the crown, leaving a bewildered Kili to pick up the pieces. Family Fic.

Bilbo is getting to know the Dwarves and learning things about them. He also finds himself learning something else. Though their true father was lost, Fili and Kili were never fatherless, for a father is someone you can look up to no matter how tall you get. The young Dwarves in the company have plenty of fathers.

AU Instead of Bilbo, Fili steals the Arkenstone and gives it to Bard. All the dwarves survive the Bof5, but Thorin is mad with gold lust madness. Thorin banishes his nephew from Erebor tearing the two brothers apart. This is to fill a request at hobbitkink.
