Destiny is never a straight and clear path. Merlin knows that only to well, but now it seems as if destiny has decided to throw all it can at him. As Mordred reveals himself to not be what Merlin expected, will he trust his fellow captive? Or will he continue to give the boy the cold shoulder, even as they trudge along in the snow toward Morgana and their destiny. 5X02 AU

"Tell me you wouldn't do the same. For the woman you love." And if Merlin was honest, he would do all of it and more. Because what was destiny, what was fate, what was magic, if there was no love. And so he said so. And by sending Mordred away. Merlin may have just killed Arthur. But all he could think was. "I loved her. With my everything." And what is destiny without love?

What if Arthur or other characters had followed Merlin at various times throughout the series? What if he had heard certain conversations, and how would he react? This is a series of one-shots of how I imagine those scenes would have happened. Will include fighting with Nimeuh, talking with Mordred and arguing with Gilli. Reveal!fic. No Slash. So did anyone else think this episode was the perfect time for a magic reveal? Because I did. Here's a story of how Arthur doesn't kill Uther and gets to keep his correct knowledge on magic. MAGIC REVEAL! (no duh I just said that). Also bromance, because that's my main diet when it comes to this show. AU in case you didn't pick up on that.

After Camlann, Merlin rushes to save Arthur with the help of an old friend. The challenges continue for the two as they return to Camelot. Will include a larger-scale Camelot reveal, Aithusa and more! SPOILERS 5.13. AU.

Arthur, surprisingly less dense than usual, suspects that Merlin did something during their game of dice, even if he can't quite put his finger on what it was. Merlin, for his part, insists he's imagining things. Set in episode 12, T for mild slash!

Arthur comes to comfort Merlin on the shore of the lake, and Merlin learns that he won't get to follow him into death. He doesn't want immortality. It's terrifying to know you'll be left alone in the end. Post 5x13. Spoilers

After the events of 5x13, what will Merlin do? Guinevere is desperate and longs for a friend when she finds Merlin lurking about the Castle at night and confronts him about what happened and what is to happen next. Fix-it Fic, mainly canon, slight AU around Gwaine (meaning I let him live). Friendship Gwen-Merlin, Arthur-Gwen (in memory). Angst but also Hope.

The last thing a king wants on waking up after a brush with death is to find their manservant in the dungeon. Spoilers for 5x07.

An canon-era AU fic that loosely follows the plot to 5x10, but with alot more whump and mordred and knights. When Merlin disappears during the night, Arthur doesn't worry too much. But when they find his blood in the middle of the woods, with a sorceress loose, he realises that things could be so much worse. SPOILERS FOR 5X10, whump, angst, no slash.
