A familiar routine takes an interesting turn for Anna and John after hours...Inspired by 4.1 so spoilers, I guess (though nothing big, really). Oh, and smuttiness ahead.

This was inspired by a prompt, sent to me by my favorite Banna fanfic writer, JamesLuvr. The prompt comes from a different site, but I wanted to post it here: John and Anna go on holiday and Anna is mistaken for his mistress. John talks a LOT in this one. Brendan's voice enchants me so that's probably why I tend to give John monologues. These are not my characters.

Toward the end of Season 3 John Bates was starting to become more expressive, at least to Anna. It's an interesting turn for this character. Considering his deep history and his passionate nature, how does this development emerge in lovemaking? These are not my characters.

John and Anna's Wedding Night, I wanted more than pillow talk. This is what I would have enjoyed seeing develop as they found themselves fervently and secretly married at last. I adore these characters and I find their love story exquisitely lovely. I hope you will enjoy my version of their long awaited wedding night.

Set in a present day modern A/U- John Bates is a fire fighter struggling with the law and life. After a court order forces him to get the help he needs, John meets Anna, his saving grace. The timing could not be more wrong and John's past continues to haunt him. Plus, Anna has a few secrets of her own as well.

Service work involved long, tough hours - not unlike what many couples face today. In combination with an "atmosphere" this can raise tensions. High-functioning personalities (you know the ones) tend to handle these tensions a little better than most. Sometimes, you just have to make do. These are not my characters.
