A series. These are the moments I craved to see, as Anna falls more in more in love, beginning at the end of S1 E1. Some interstitial moments, and Anna's stream of consciousness in certain scenes. These are not my characters.

In the wake of Matthew's death, Anna tries to cheer the house by forming a book club (you know the one she mentioned to Molesley in S2:E2). John is a reluctant participant, but ends up learning that being a good sport comes with its own rewards. Total crack story! Most of the downstairs characters (and Branson too!) make an appearance in this hopefully amusing one-shot.

John and Anna take a trip to a seaside town to spend the weekend at the beach while celebrating Anna's birthday. Meanwhile, they search for hotels for their future prospects. John has a surprise for Anna but she has a surprise of her own.

When Anna suffers from a frightening sickness, will she ever get better? Are there friends to be made along this indefinite lengthy road to recovery? Will John be her cane to lean on every step of the way? Anna and John face the truth of their vows, harsh reality, and lives unimaginable as they support each other for richer and for poorer, for better and for worse.

Short piece that takes place in Series 2, Episode 1. Anna and Mr. Bates at the benefit concert. Matthew and Lavinia make their entrance, but all of us Banna fans were too curious as to what Anna and Bates are up to, especially since it is before he proposes but after he tells her that he wants to talk with her. What were they talking about then?

Adults only. John and Anna enjoy married life in the privacy of their cottage. In other words, cottage smut plain and simple!

Modern story. Anna and John met at a party just before John left to go to war. They stayed in contact until John cut all ties after his injury. Years later they meet again under different circumstances. Through changes in both their lives, they can't be more then friends. But is friendship enough with their history?

The arrival of Mr Pamuk causes a stir both above and below stairs, leading Anna and Mr Bates into a conversation about what makes someone beautiful.

Follows Pub scene, S02E03. I have always felt like Anna would have needed a bit more reassurance from John after their break. I also think that an understanding was established between them about their relationship before going forward. Anna loves John but she is no fool. John has a bit more diffusing to do. This is what results when my mind goes that way.

Six years ago, they had dreamt of children and owning a little hotel and now, six months after the tragic car accident, could that dream be coming true for Anna and Bates, or is it still a dream just out of their reach?

Modern AU. Anna is almost killed in a car accident and Mary, her best friend, John, her husband, and Thomas, the driver of the car try not to worry themselves too much, always telling themselves that she'll get through it without any problems, despite what they really feel inside. Rated T because I'm paranoid that I'll rate it too low.

Anna and John's life together is pushed to the limit by the arrival of the charming Mr Green, who turns out to be anything but. When the unthinkable happens and they are left to deal with the consequences, can they ever be happy again?

Inspired by the TCA panel with the lovely Downton ladies. John thinks of Valentine's Days past and ponders how he will celebrate the upcoming holiday with Anna, before getting a bit distracted.

Inspired by a certain gif on Tumblr. This takes place several weeks after John has left Anna to go with Vera. I may add to this with more glimpses into John's time with Vera, if the interest is there.

In series 3, Anna and Mr. Bates' letters are stopped, what happens while they wait for their letters to come to be sent? What are Anna and John's thoughts and feelings through that time?
