Encounters with the Crawley children prompt Bates to reflect on his childhood and his resulting doubts as to whether he can be a good father.

A "fill-in-the-blank" canon-style journey through Anna and Bates' courtship. I think of this as a "prequel" to A Meeting at Night and Homecoming, but each of the stories can stand alone. This is to be a multiple chapter fic, which began with a T rating and firmly MOVED UP TO A STRONG M AT CHAPTER 16.

Lady Mary sends Anna on an errand to Ripon and she is pleased when Mr. Bates asks to walk with her.

Summer 1921. A heatwave hits Downton, but the temperature isn't the only factor warming things up. Set between 3.8 and the S3 CS.

Modern AU. In which John is curious and Anna is clueless.

After her release from prison, Anna must not only live with the uncertainty of her husband's fate, but she must also confront the fact that her attack has become public knowledge. Oneshot set at the end of S5.

This is post Series 3 Episode 7 a few months after John has been released from jail and it goes A/U from there.  This story is in response to a prompt from allcoyledup who asked for a scene with Anna's mother meeting John.
