After Lady Mary and Jane's wedding present, Anna finds hers dreams have come true at precisely the wrong moment. Suddenly, John has more to fight for than ever before… CS12/S3 AU.

When baked goods start disappearing from the cottage, John and Anna set out to trap a thief, but what they find changes their lives instead. Just some fluff for Terrieajane's Tumblr challenge.

Just a bit of baby Bates fluff to get us through after the series five finale.

Series 2/AU - After John leaves with Vera, Anna is devastated. But what if someone had come along to mend Anna's broken heart? When John returns about to be free from his wife, and ready to marry Anna; he may not find things exactly how he left them. Will John fight to keep the love of his life? Or will he let his insecurities get in the way, and watch her slip away to another man?

John tries to be helpful as Anna sorts through various outfits in an attempt to find the perfect dress for an evening out.

In the middle of the night, Anna sits in her new favourite spot in the cottage to care for a very important arrival. S5 spoilers, set post S5 & now AU.

Continuation of the cottage scene in S5E7. Their troubles are seemingly behind them, and Anna and Bates are so very happy.

Set in S4 within Ep4 and Ep5. After her attack, Anna is struggling with the immense love for her husband and her total fear of losing him in more ways than one should he ever find out. With her mind in a fragile state she seeks comfort from the past to help her through, but will it be enough to give her the strength she needs to break the heart of her beloved husband?

Walking like a man already condemned to the gallows, Bates felt his emotions shift from anguish into a dull rage. He hated himself. He hated Anna, just a little. S5E6 post episode. SPOILERS

The moments when Anna and John can be alone as lovers are few and far between, and when these moments present themselves, it is only hidden in shadows that the valet and the head housemaid can express their love.

Anna comes home after getting caught in a rainstorm, and Mr. Bates is there to greet her.

I am still on the verge of bawling like a baby whenever I see the scene of John and Anna reading through the letters that have been withheld from them in series 3. I just always wonder how long Anna had to wait to be able to read those letters in the privacy of her room from the time she receives them from Mrs. Hughes and what went through her head in that space of time.

Addressing a missing scene from Series 5 Episode 6. Following the discussion that John and Anna have in the cottage regarding his involvement in the murder of Mr. Green, they still have secrets and understandings that have yet to be discussed.

Following the birth of their first child, Anna and John discuss their future.

John and Anna spend a night to themselves attending a premiere for a show John has been working on.

The night after John and Anna talk in the boot room about children. A lot of Shakespeare is quoted, Sonnet 16, King Lear, The Tempest, Henry VI and A Midsummers Nights Dream. Rating is M to be sure.
