An idea had formed in his mind and he couldn't wait to put it into action. Another continuation of 'Tonight' and 'Wine Tasting'. This is has a lot of references to 'Wine Tasting' and deals with Charles plan to thank his Elsie properly.

Modern AU- Charles Carson is a law graduate who has worked in and for charitable foundations for years. He and Elsie Barnes met in Law school where she went on to practice law. Both find each other later in life, at a crossroads, and they rely on each other to decide which way to go next.

When the past catches up with the present, it isn't always easy to deal with its consequences. Alternate Universe fic, almost spoiler free, includes a very proper Butler and a very different role for the person we normally know as Housekeeper Elsie Hughes. Will often not be safe for work.

A stream of consciousness/interior dialogue piece exploring Carson and Mrs. Hughes in the four months between her revelation about Becky and Christmas. AND BEYOND! Both POV's.

Mrs. Hughes uses some of the cuts in staffing the family has made to her advantage. I don't own any of the characters. Trust me if I did there would be a lot more Chelsie and a lot less of any of the upstairs characters (except the Dowager Countess because she priceless).

Mr. Carson grows roses for the Downton Flower Show and Mrs. Carson learns that there is a first time for everything.

This story will follow Mrs Hughes and Mr Carson after the Series 5 Christmas Special, taking the story forward following Mr Carson's enchanting proposal of marriage. Other characters will feature as we see how those Downstairs and Upstairs react to the engagement x

Season 5 Christmas Special Spoilers! After Christmas eve, Mr. Carson cannot sleep for thoughts of a certain Scottish woman. He hatches a plan perfect for Christmas, but, as the saying goes, the best laid plans often go awry. With guest appearances of all our favorite characters, poor Mrs. Hughes must follow through on tradition, even if it means kissing hall boys. (Long One Shot)
