Ash leaves on his journey at 16 to win the kanto league with his starter charmander

After Ash's Sinnoh journey, he decided to take a break from challenging Pokémon gyms to learn more about the Pokémon that he currently had and level them up some more before challenging the gyms again. This tale starts after his break was over…

Ash Ketchum did not receive his starting pokemon right before his journey, it was much sooner. Growing up besides a battle-crazy shiny Meowth has changed his life's goal. Ash won't be the Master with the most pokemon in the world, he will be the Master with the very best.

Ash is given Pikachu in the beginning. What if Pikachu ditches him in his time of need. What if another pokemon takes place of his starter. He takes to the world differently and is smarter with his choices. He wants to be the best of trainers. Watch out world.

For some people, training isn't easy. For some people, training is beyond easy. Unfortunately, for me, training is beyond hard. Double weaknesses, attacked by wild Pokemon, mistrust of trainers, and much more. I just CAN'T catch a break, can I?
