When Caroline is finally decides to tell him what she thinks, she does not expect that Klaus falls into a coma. She decided to stay with him until he gets better and that she could leave. This whole mate thing was pretty inconvenient, in Caroline's personal opinion. The fact that said mate was Klaus "I tried to kill your best friend for a creepy ritual" Mikaelson made it even worse. As for Klaus, he wasn't exactly pleased that his mate was a defenseless baby vampire. They're understandably reluctant to accept each other. Until they aren't. Twisted Canon Post 3x09.

3x21, Caroline is ensnared in Alaric's trap for Elena. Klaus first secures her safety, surprising her when she finds comfort in his embrace, then rushes off to end the threat to his own existence, a fight she is determined to help him win. There is no clear victor as of yet, but the enemies will become allies and she struggled with the feelings that she's been keeping secret.

Klaus is cursed and only his true love can fix it. Caroline has been steering clear of supernatural drama since she left Mystic Falls. What will she do when Elijah shows up and drags her to New Orleans to break his brother's curse? Klaroline. Rated M for later chapters.

The Mystic Falls gang have the cure, Elena wants to be human but the only way for that to happen is if the originator of her bloodline takes the cure so all the vampires of that bloodline become human.
