When Jim was a kid, Winona liked to drink whenever she was home. Not the way Frank liked to drink, or the way Jim would come to, but she enjoyed being mellow and relaxed.

It was during a break on Earth in mid-five-year mission when Jim received a call from the child service about his kid who just lost his mother to a fire. Too bad Jim didn't know he had a kid until now. With the kid in his care and the mission to continue, Starfleet ensued Jim to find a second guardian if the child to be aboard the ship. It's Mother's Day but Winona Kirk can't find stop remembering George. A young Kirk brings his mother a gift, but it only brings back more memories. Short one-shot.

Father's day is day's away and Dr. McCoy is in a bad mood. Kirk hacks into his friends file and discovers the reason for McCoy's ill temper. A plan to cheer McCoy up has some unintended consequences and in the process he finds himself a little closer to home...

"What the hell happened to you?" McCoy slowly stood from the desk, watching Jim walk toward him with a slight limp to his gait. He suppressed a curse. "I just left you two hours ago." What happened after Kirk returned from Kronos? An interlude between Kirk and McCoy.

Jim is not feeling well and what starts off as a really bad headache leads to another diagnosis, one that may not have a medicinal cure. Bones will have a difficult decision to make with a little assistance from Spock.

Jim's on a roll-five sleepless days fueled by little more than a coffee mix with dangerously high caffeine levels. He's desperate not to sleep despite the adverse health effects he's experiencing, and Bones is about to find out why. Post-STID.

Jim and Bones are contacted to secretly meet Pike at Star Fleet's headquarters. But when attacked in an alleyway injuring Kirk, a figure appears to bring back memories that were buried deep. Kirk goes instantly into PTSD causing Bones to worry about his friends. Who is this figure? What causes Jim to act so irrationally? A fight to save each others lives begin. Kirk/McCoy Injured

Kirk and the other cadets go into the forest as an assignment to reproduce the events of Tarsus IV and test their survival ability. Afterwards, Kirk's class continue studying Tarsus IV and a survivor is invited to talk to the students. Kirk's past is revealed and he returns to the academy after a brief hiatus. New evidence arises that suggests Kodos is still alive and Earthside.

Can we ever really let go of the past? Or will something we try to hide deep within eventually catch up to us?

Awoken at the Dawn of the Dark Hour on a bloody bridge, Minato had always known of the presence of Death tucked up against his soul.
