Rewrite: Hiccup was an Outcast to both school, and town. His friends left him, and his father despised him. So when he meets a new group of friends that are planning to enlist in the military. Hiccup learns that friendship can never amount to Brotherhood. Eventual Hiccstrid.

Only infant dragons were immune to the call of an alpha, it was basic dragon knowledge. Too bad an undersized Night Fury was the exception to this rule. The real kicker: said Night Fury wasn't a dragon yesterday. Hiccup, just what did you get yourself into this time? AU: deviates at the start of the first movie.

Instead of killing the dragon in the arena, Hiccup decides to fly away from Berk on Toothless.He finds a small island,and lives there,bartering with the people who live on a nearby island. Five years later,Stoick finds his son again. Chaos, of course, ensues.

Hiccup is born with something unique. It's meaning was not what he originally thought it was. The young man begins to realise his special gift isn't just a gift, it's a purpose. A gateway to a whole new adventure and an enormous task. Little does he know a dark enemy is playing games with him, and soon enough Hiccup will realise that he truly can't do this alone.

After being gone three years, a Hiccup who has left his mark in the world comes to Berk by chance and ends up saving it from the Outcast. Deed done, he wants to go back to exile, but some Berkians conspire to keep him closer to home...

AU ending. What if Hiccup and Toothless didn't make it back up from the ocean? How would this affect history, and the future of Berk? Now, Hiccup has to face his most dangerous enemy yet, who now has complete control over Berk.
