But soon that dream begins to take a firm hold on reality as he is unable to shake off the effects of it: new feelings begin to rise where John is concern and the consulting detective does not know what's happening to him nor does he know how to handle the situation. This time, even his cold logic can't help him.

Harry and Clara hate that their relationship is all that anyone wants to gossip about, so John does what any good brother would do: he sets himself up to be a bigger item of gossip instead. Surely by announcing that he's dating the one and only openly-gay boy at their school, he'll draw their classmates' attention away from her and Clara.

By the age of thirty-eight, Sherlock Holmes found himself platonically dating a woman he'd met during a blind date arranged by the man he was in love with, who just so happened to be the boyfriend of his fake girlfriend's best friend. It was absolutely mad, as were most of Janine's plans, but if it meant finally winning John's heart, Sherlock was willing to go along for the ride.

Now that John and Mary are engaged, Sherlock is having an extremely hard time accepting it. He wanted John all to himself! But far be it for Sherlock Holmes to let him go without a fight!

John has to choose which one of them dies. The bullet that came to close to hitting Sherlock s heart will never get to hit him. It takes John's life and leaves a grieving Sherlock behind. How can he go on now? How will he be able to fulfill the last wish of a dying person, of his only friend?

Back from Afghanistan, John is feeling out of sorts, suffering from his leg issue and the nightmares from PTSD. One night, he feels especially low, and calls a depression hotline. The intelligent but rude hotline worker is nothing like he expected. Funny how months later, he still can't get the unusual conversation, or that man, out of his head... (JOHNLOCK, AU - Never Met)

John Watson thought this was it for him after he returned from Afghanistan - runny noses and the tedium of working a job at a private practice. Aimless and bitter, he never thought he would find his purpose again.
