In the aftermath of the Battle of Five Armies, Thorin came to realize that he had many regrets but none of them could measure up to his mistake in casting Bilbo away. Now, with the Hobbit's life hanging precariously on the line, he strives to make amends. An AU retelling of the events before, during, and after the Battle, but not necessarily in that order.

The adventure doesn't end after the Battle of Five Armies. Bilbo lingers in Erebor while Thorin recovers from his wounds, and soon finds himself caught up in politics, romance, and the occasional kidnapping. Ensemble cast. AU. Eventually Thorin/Bilbo.

Bilbo Baggins is going on an adventure and along the way he might just learn that being respectable isn't all it's cracked up to be. A look into how Bilbo got to know and befriend the dwarves and maybe, just maybe, come to care for one in particular. Slow burn Bagginshield, rating may change.

Bilbo learns a thing or two from Thorin through a few impromptu lessons about music, archery, and the ways of the heart.

AU — When he opens his eyes again, he finds himself in his old bed in his old home in his old body. Is this death? Or a trick of magic? Either way, Bilbo recognizes a second chance when he sees one, and this time his adventure with Thorin is going to go a bit differently.

When Thorin is injured in the Battle of the Five Armies, Bilbo surprises everyone with his healing abilities. Then as Erebor starts to rebuild he continues to surprise people with his knowledge and skills. On top of everything else that is occuring there is a dwarf king and a hobbit are be trying to court one another without the other knowing. Direct Spoilers for the end of book.

One drowsy August evening, a dwarven king wanders into the Shire and knocks on a familiar green door. "I knew you for a few bleak months and thirty years later I wake up wishing that you were beside me. I am surrounded by my kin and kingdom, but even in Erebor I am lonely for you." Thorin/Bilbo.

Soulmate AU; Thorin/Bilbo romance. In a Middle Earth where dwarves dream of Heartsongs and hobbits carry the name of their fated partner as private Mark, Bilbo Baggins had never been able to properly translate the strange rows of runes inscribed on his wrist. And likewise, Thorin Oakenshield had never imagined he would hear the voice of his Heartsong from a fussy little hobbit.

After being rescued by Bilbo, Thorin begins to realize that his feelings for the halfling are more than simple gratitude. But past ills cannot be so easily undone, and the growing need inside him proves difficult to understand or control. "Enough!" I interrupted sharply, drawing myself up to my full height and laying a hand on the hilt of my sword. "Listen to me very carefully. No one touches the Hobbit." I let my eyes harden. "Anyone who tries will answer to me."

Small stories set along the journey to Erebor, about a king without a mountain, an honest burglar, and the fine company they keep. Here there be book and (2012) movie spoilers, and eventually dragons. Or at least one dragon. Also, a smattering of Thorin/Bilbo romance.

A blocked path, a stray spell, and a hobbit with the most peculiar sort of luck. Bilbo knew, leaving the Shire, that hobbits certainly weren't the tallest of folk in the big, wide world. But this is ridiculous. A magical mishap; a Thorin/Bilbo romance.

Between the Shire and Erebor, there's home. And for Thorin, that home may come in the form of a shy little Hobbit named Bilbo Baggins. Post-film, movie-verse. Bagginshield. NOW COMPLETE.

All of the dwarves survive the Battle of the Five Armies, but Bilbo must return to the Shire to sort out his old life and make way for a new one in Erebor. Over one year later, Bilbo comes back to the Lonely Mountain with a recently orphaned Frodo. King Thorin isn't quite sure what to make of this new, tiny addition to his Company. Slow build, Company and character focused.

After a mission goes wrong, Kirk must deal with a de-aged Spock and fight to keep them both alive. Spock grows attached and begins to worry that he won't remember his time with Kirk once he's changed back.

They meet Jim in phases, and through him find each other. But as the layers peal back, the future Enterprise bridge crew finds more than they can handle. Because long before he had friends, Jim had Family, and the Scaretta crime syndicate didn't survive to the 23rd century by letting go of its own. Jim Kirk will always be a frustration to Spock-even when that's not his name.

At the mercy of their emotions and the ancient Vulcan time of mating, things go from bad to worse when Jim, Spock, and the crew are kidnapped as Spock goes into Pon Farr. With the biological clock ticking, will Spock and Jim survive? Warning: K/S

The first time was involuntary, I am certain. He did not walk toward me so much as fall against me, body crumpling in a graceful arch. I remained still, unsure of how to proceed. "You're alive" he breathed, so softly that only I could have heard him.
