Loki makes his way through the Nine Realms for decades before he decides to sneak into Asgard. He doesn't find things the way he expected them to and his help is needed. One-shot. Unbeknownst to a broken-hearted, outraged Loki, he and Thor were about to be equals in more ways than he would have *ever* have cared to know. Ever. When Thor returned Loki to Asgard, Odin found magic in Loki's mind that had been influencing him, and began a process to remove it. The night before Loki will be completely free, Thor visits a very lost feeling Loki, and preforms his role as older brother. Post Avengers. No slash.

When Loki falls, the All-Father cannot just mourn. He goes after him.

Loki was used to feeling abandoned, discarded. Locked in a room under the palace of Asgard, he believed he had been abandoned again. Thor was absolutely determined to change those feelings. Thor never forgot what Loki told him before his "almost" coronation. Now, on the day he finally was going to become king of Asgard, Thor decides to tell Loki what he should have said in response to those words. Based on a deleted scene from the movie. One year post Avengers. No slash.

Thor couldn't explain why he needed to see Loki in the middle of the night, until he found him in the throws of a nightmare, and Loki finally tells him what happened to him in the year after he fell. No slash, just sappy bromance. Post Avengers.

Loki escapes imprisonment in Asgard, and flees to Jotunheim. Time passes, and he thinks Asgard means to leave him exiled. But one day, in his lonely wanderings, he comes across Thor, half dead in the snow. Against his better judgment, Loki reaches out to save the man who was once his brother. Thor doesn't recognize him, at first, and matters spiral out of control from there.

When Thor's banishment is revoked and he returns to Asgard with his powers fully restored, he is prepared to confront Loki. Even to fight him, if necessary. Instead, Loki forces Thor to face up to some painful truths about their past as brothers, and in so doing, strengthens the familial bonds that are the foundation of their relationship.

Thor is too thick-headed to fall in battle. Quite literally, his skull can probably withstand a hit from the hammer and come out with only minimal damage. It does not worry him that he has not seen any sign of his- of Thor. It does not worry him that nobody else has seemed to notice the warrior's lack of attendance. He is not worried.

AU: When Thor&company went to Jotunheim, the monster which Laufey set free upon them recognized Loki as belonging to the Jotunheim royal family.

AU. Loki committed suicide after learning of his heritage and was replaced by an impostor. Thor et al only realized that after The Avengers, when that impostor revealed herself and teleported away cackling madly or something like that. They then went to find the real Loki. He is more impressive than they thought.
