Pikachu abandoned him, he left him to die, yet he found a friend in a riolu. The shock pikachu gave him awakened his hidden brain power and ability to understand pokemon. This is Ash Ketchum's life as a pokemon trainer, breeder, and aura guardian. (He'll become an aura guardian and breeder later)

On the first day of his journey with his rebellious starter, Ash befriends a Spearow and a Rattata. Ash is seriously injured by Pikachu after saving the young spearow from a Thunderbolt, but the Spearow, her flock, and the Rattata save his life. With not one but two new starters, a strange new ability to understand Pokémon, and a calmer and smarter attitude, a new journey begins.

Things didn't entirely get swept aside after the conclusion of the TWT. Dumbledore doesn't get his way. Riddle or Fudge won't either. Some OCs have large roles.

Having been treated as a servant his entire life, Harry is more sympathetic when Dobby arrives, avoiding Vernon's wrath and gaining a bit of freedom. That freedom changes his summer, his life, and the world forever. A very long character-driven story that likes to play with canon.

NOW BEING REWRITTEN. The Colonials have just started taking their first steps into a much larger galaxy where danger, friends, and the unknown lie around every corner. And Earth has now taken the next huge step into the galaxy and its rise to superpower is all but inevitable. So what's to stop them?
