Not very many things come as a surprise to the world's only consulting detective, but to John, everything Sherlock does seems to be surprising, and often without motive. Especially when he takes a sudden notice to the otherwise invisible citizens of the street, who are just trying to make it by. John sees for himself that there is always more to a person than they lead on.

John's PTSD returns. This time his subconscious pulls his current life into Afghanistan, and John's affected more than ever. Sherlock struggles to help. Can be seen as Johnlock, but mostly friendship.
