Miranda walks out of a dead drunk Stephen two days before Paris. She ends up in a bar, sitting right next to a pretty girl that turns out to be Andrea, her assistant, who in turn makes her an unexpected offer.

Riff on My Fair Lady DWP-style...see notes in the Prologue. Miranda and Nigel are in Central Park for a photo shoot, and they get into a friendly debate about whether fashion sense can be learned. Miranda accepts a bet to teach Andy in six weeks, at which time the New York Fashion Week Art & Fashion Gala shall take place. Andy is a reporter for the Mirror and has never met Miranda.

It looks like MIranda is moving on toward husband #3. Andy is forced to witness and to be polite when all she wants is to tell Miranda how she feels. When Miranda suddenly asks the impossible of her-willl she dare?

While on assignment in Key Biscayne and sharing a suite with her boss, Andy is mortified when she and Miranda overhear amorous and noisy neighbors. Little does she know how such embarrassement will affect her boss.

Two and a half years after Paris when a Andy left, Miranda is making changes. One of her decisions take her right in Andy's path. Will they let their guards down or resort to old ways of secret passion?

Andy didn't quit in Paris, and after a night of unintended insanity and unfortunate twists of fate, Andy goes to work mildly hung-over and expecting the worst. Miranda seems to be avoiding her, but when she does turn up again, it isn't anything Andy could have begun to prepare for. Something is wrong with Andy. MIranda takes charge. Andy freaks out. Miranda insists.

Photos of a scantily clad woman end up in Miranda's possession. The woman is familiar and Miranda wonders if she is being deliberately tormented by faith, or if she struck gold.
