AU. Pre-S10 premiere and whatever episode that will eventually answer all questions. No doubt those answers will be very different from what I knitted together here from viewing the promo, but I decided to play "What If" for the heck of it. Here is my take on how Sam and Cas caught, and turned, the demon who had once been Dean Winchester.

Non canon season 10 -demon Dean is killing women in Lawrence and Sam is hunting him down, neither of them anticipated who else is on the trail. Rated M for language, frightening imagery, and violence.

Sam did things he wasn't proud of during his hunt for Dean. Now Demon Dean knows what Sam did, and plans to make him pay. Based on the preview for season 10 and has spoilers for season 9 finale. Evil/Demon!Dean and Hurt/Tortured!Sam. Flashbacks of my own making will occur.

After Season 9. Sam seeing that Dean is missing

Coda to 9:23. Dean starts to learn what it means to be the kind of demon that bears the Mark. So does Sam.

Demon Dean is bored, and messing with Sam and Cas is way too entertaining.

Dean's dealing with the fallout of his new existence when Sam's suddenly jumped & serious injured by demons. What happens after Sam summons Crowley and Dean wakes up as a demon?

Dean is now a demon. Is he the same old Dean or his demonic side took control over him and there's no turning back? Hell falls on a temporary calm with Crowley being their only leader, but for how long? And the angels, now having the Metatron caught which path will follow - will Cas be their new leader or someone else will come to take the domain of Winchester's favorite angel?

Cas discovers the truth about Dean, does he stay or does he go? [ set after the season finale, which I'm still crying about by the way]

Post 9.23. Sam keeps Dean human. Crowley tries to keep him out of the way.

Sam arrived too late to save Dean in his battle with Metatron. But what happens next? Picks up where the season 9 finale left us hanging. Major spoilers for "Do You Believe in Miracles?"

After the showdown between Metatron and Dean, Sam brings him home and tries to summon Crowley. After days of failing to contact the demon, Sam gives up, but Dead is already walking around. Sam grows suspicious, but waits to see what happens. That is, until the phone rings.

Cas remains in Heaven until Sam shows up with some interesting news about Dean. Set after the s9 finale, so spoilers. [Cas/Dean]

Miniseries about season 9, contains spoilers. (Inspired by a Depeche Mode song) Mira has been in and out of Dean's life for 9 years, yet she has never felt like an outsider until now.

Now complete! Dean/Bela. Set at the end of Season 9. Dean is a demon. In hell, he is sent down to meet someone from his past and after some bickering, much confusion and the spilling of a great deal of secrets, he decides that he wants to get her out. What's more, she could be instrumental in restoring his humanity. T for graphic scene/implied torture.

Season 10. In order to cure Dean they have to protect his soul. Sam and Castiel had the perfect plan. But when does anything go according to plan for the Winchesters. The angels have help him in return for helping reopen heaven but they are done. He and Castiel are left to clean up the mess. And how much mess can a four year old Dean make. Rated T for mild language.

Sam finally finds Dean and has to decide what to do. Tag to 9.23. Sort of.
