Sally Donovan's eyes are opened about a certain Doctor John Watson.

Without even properly realizing what he's doing, he's started to draw John, broad strokes for the shape of his head and neck, small careful ones for the soft features of his face. He finds him in the tensed set of his shoulders, in the troubled slash of his mouth. For the first time in weeks, Sherlock finds that he's not bored.

He hasn't told John this, but it's his aim to know everything about him, until he can describe the way that John's hair slides from blond to gray or the way that John laughs, warm and steady, when Sherlock does something he likes, as easily as he can rattle off the markers of time of death.

Things John Watson doesn't expect to do when he transfers to a new school: A. Befriend his possibly mad roommate. B. Investigate a particularly nasty streak of murders with his most likely mad roommate. C. Fall slightly or not so slightly in love with his definitely mad roommate. D. All of the above.

There is a bond between them, gossamer thin and stronger than steel, and so it's no surprise that John and Sherlock still see each other After, no surprise that even in their dreams, they haunt each other, a pair of living ghosts who couldn't bear to ever be apart.

Everyone had a gift. Some could run exceptionally fast or kick a football incredibly well. Some could paint or dance or sing. Others still had brilliant minds that cut through the mundane of everyday life to expose the wonder underneath. John Watson could wake the dead.

"All the stuff that you wanted to say, but didn't say. Say it now."

Sherlock and John are called to a museum to recover a missing stuffed tortoise, but Sherlock gets distracted. Johnlock.

John Watson and Sherlock Holmes are not men who believe in fate. But it's some sort of poetry that after all the chase and chaos ends, after John's bullet tears through the window and into the cabby's side, after Sherlock finds himself lying to cover for a man he's only just met a man who's just killed for him without a moment's pause , they both sleep soundly through the night.

After Sherlock returns, they talk. But not about the kiss. Post Reichenbach Johnlock.

The words that appear on your wrist after birth lead you to your soulmate, so it should be no surprise to John that Sherlock's are blank, or that his own words lead him to Sherlock.

It isn't bravery that makes John so willing to risk his life for Sherlock. At least, he doesn't think it is – it's just simple mathematics. John/Sherlock implied, Reichenbach spoilers.

"John there is no way, no way, that I am going to the Yard's Halloween party." Except Sherlock can't get his own way all the time, and this time John's calling the shots.

Written in response to the blackberry network going down. Sherlock's phone won't work, he can't send texts, he can't recieve texts and the internet's out of the question... Poor John.
