There's no time for celebration though, as Jason quickly falls fatally ill, relationships begin to deteriorate in the new stress, and Nico is reluctant to tell what he knows. As Annabeth tries to work things out with Luke and Percy, she too struggles to understand what is really going on.

"I want to do something to fix what I've done. In any way I can. Give me something I've never given anyone. Give me another chance." A man asks for rebirth, two people are sure he'll earn it, and someone welcomes him home.

Percy's stared in front of him; eyeing the mass of monsters who had gathered around the Doors. He saw strange faces, new faces, ugly faces, and some familiar faces.
