In canon, healers and mediwitches were seemingly spared from the predations of the Death Eaters during both Blood Wars. St. Mungo's would have been a very soft target, but it stood inviolate. One patient was attacked, but the hospital and it's staff were spared. The question is, why? What could have kept mad killers in check? As with a great many other things, Poppy knew.

At some point of our lives we look back and wonder; 'What if I had done something differently back then? How much better would my life have been' That's all we can do at this point right? Sometimes though...sometimes we get a second chance to accomplish that one thing we always wanted to. If we don't recognize those moments, we don't deserve happiness anyway.

Plot holes. Some are only tiny; but others challenge the Grand Canyon. What does Harry do about the Tr-Wizard Tournament if he decides to think outside the box? And not about winning, but just surviving?

Harry is a prisoner, and Bellatrix has fallen from grace. The accidental activation of Bella's treasured heirloom results in another chance for Harry. It also gives him the opportunity to make the acquaintance of the young and enigmatic Bellatrix Black as they change the course of history.

Not everyone was happy that the Malfoys got off after the war. One of them takes steps. Warning - this fic is very dark and contains references to torture, violent death, non-con, and incest. None of it is graphically portrayed, but very cold and stark.

After the war is over Harry wants to protect his godson Teddy Lupin, but he isn't sure how. Andromeda Tonks has a few interesting suggestions for him.
