The only way is to hitch a ride with the primitives that sail its mysterious tachyon winds in sail ships. But can he make it before the radiation boils him alive? Or, will she find her own way to escape?

Of course, he's been trained to take notice of all things periphery and he can't help but ponder on the woman as he takes in the neat Starfleet uniform, the pips on her collar and the lean outline of her legs in the otherwise shapeless pants. There are moments of 'first times' in every relationship from the first hello, to the first goodbye.
