It all comes down to the decision that all the angels had to do, follow Michael or Gabriel.

Starts after the events of season one. Michael reunites with a sister he hasn't seen in nearly a hundred years. With nowhere to go for protection, the two have to survive the ruin on their own. Old wounds will be opened and past pains relived. Can Michael's little sister help him get over what he done? No longer going into season two.

At the start of the war Michael had a hard time coping with the fall and battle against his twin. The soldiers were scared of him and his loneliness only grew. It wasn't until Charlie, Alex's mother, reached out to him that he was able to find comfort. When she dies, he finds himself having to save Alex from Jeep's growing alcohol problem and negligence.

Michael makes major changes to the corps to model them after the army he used to control in heaven. It's an act of desperation to starve off the depression he had been falling into since his brother left him. However, he cannot seem to make it without his other half. Alex takes notice and tries his best to take care of the angel with the help of the corps.

Iohanna (OC) is an Archangel who returned to Earth after almost 30 years. She finds out about the war between her brothers. She tries to get the Angels and humans together to fight an even bigger war that is yet to come.

The Extermination War happened 25 years ago, humans against angels? We didn't stand a chance but then the archangel Michael sided with humanity and we won, for now. Until we defeat Gabriel there is no clear victory it's either our dominion or demise and that is unclear as well. Michael/OC
