After taking a wrong turn and finding himself in an expected snowstorm, Nick seeks refuge in a widow's and her stepdaughter's cabin...what happens next? AU - Heath meets the Barkleys

Jarrod is a witness in a case against a San Francisco politician, but he's disappeared. When he reappears, it seems he's been taken to keep from testifying, and he and the family go looking to find out who was involved and what exactly happened to him. [FYI, all - those ads I objected to that sent me off this board are everywhere I go now, so I give up. I'm back if you have me.]

This is a mix of canon and AU of Heath's arrival/acceptance on the ranch. Tom has been dead for 3 years, Leah for 2 months. Jarrod is 30, Nick 26, Eugene 23, Heath 20, and Audra is 18. Heath has been on the ranch for about a month and a half. All characters are present.

Eugene's notion to involve a professor from college in resolving the anthrax issue facing the Barkleys springboards Heath to another train of thought. Sequel to "Thanksgiving". Nox is a valuable rescue mare, beloved by a young couple who went missing when ambushed by horse thieves. Audra, Heath, Rivka and Marshal Smith ride into mother lode country to find them and reunite them with Nox. The quest pulls the Barkleys into a standoff with an army Colonel bent on Indian extermination; back at war, Heath's mental health deteriorates.

Originally planned as an one-shot follow-up to the author Jellico's "False Impressions," it has become a series of stand-alone stories in an AU that is 8 years pre-series timeline, in which a younger Heath is brought to the Barkley Ranch at age 15 after his mother dies and Tom has been alerted to his existence. These are his stories w/his family. Constructive criticism is welcome.

While riding up to Sacramento, Heath and Audra run into one of Heath's old friends, James. However, James isn't the boy Heath once knew, and he causes trouble when he kidnaps Audra.

Jarrod and Nick find themselves both falling for the beautiful widow Lilian Henshaw, but they don't know that in addition to their potential rivalry, there is a dark secret following Lilian and her two sons around that could endanger everyone.

Heath relates the story of how he met Concha (OC from my story Still Waters Run Deep) to Audra after a freak accident leaves his fiancee in critical condition. Rated T to be safe. Genre always subject to change. All Barkleys will have brief appearances (except Gene), though the bulk of the story is centered on Heath.
