Emilia overhears a conversation between Othello and Iago and realises the significance of the handkerchief. Confronted with the truth, Desdemona must make a decision that will have drastic ramifications for her future.

Othello, the Moor of Venice, is a tragedy in five acts by William Shakespeare. The ending is rather predictable, which is why I have added a twist to it. Featuring a not so innocent Emilia!

I did this for an English assignment and I decided to post it here. Basically Iago controls Othello. Why? I have no idea.

Othello isn't the only one who loves well.

It is not wickedness. It is not jealousy. It is not desire, or hatred, or any of that. It is only love. Simple as that.

Emilia exhaled, conjured up her most devilishly tempting smile, and slowly strided up to her husband, eliminating the space between them that he had left unfilled. "Do not you chide," she said in a low voice. "I have a thing for you."

This is a fictional interpretation of Othello's Act 1: Scene 3, and is based on how I prefer to imagine the story. I wrote it the night before it was due in class, and plan on going back to develop on my existing structure. Please, enjoy and offer criticism so that I can improve this piece.
