Four stories I wrote about Nux and decided they were better off combined into one. They detail his desire to make something of himself despite his illness, the shame of his failure on the Fury Road, and his gradual connection to his new allies.

Max goes back to the wreckage site, where Nux made his ultimate sacrifice. When he finds the boy still breathing, he decides to take him back to Capable. Over the course of their journey back to the Citadel, a friendship blossoms between the two opposites, as they realize they have more in common than they think- both two tortured souls, looking for some kind of redemption.

Slit was saved from the flames and has been reborn as a disciple of John the Judas, the army surgeon turned wandering Holy Man who nursed him back to health. His burns leave him nearly blind and deaf, but the Judas teaches Slit how live with his impairments among the desert canyons. One day, he shows the same mercy to a lost girl. Set the evening of recuperation after meeting the Many Mothers, Furiosa anxiously processes the events up until that moment. Max, similarly, reflects on his life unconsciously.
