Crossover with "The Stand" by Stephen King. In the summer of 1994, Henry and Mark Evans survive the superflu even as everyone they know dies around them. They wouldn't want it any other way. But they soon find another survivor their age, one who fights them off and escapes, forcing a showdown as Henry and Mark decide to retaliate.

Following the death of their mother, 12 year-old Henry Evans and his younger brother and sister are sent to their cousins' home in northern California while their father goes overseas on business. Henry soon discovers that their oldest cousin, Mark, is a sociopath with a love of deadly games, hiding under a mask of innocence, and sets out to stop him from committing murder...

Mark Evans has done the best he can to put his past behind him. But now he can't hide from it any more. Something has returned, changed for the worse, and it is seeking vengeance. That something was once a young boy known as Henry Evans...

A prequel to the events of the film, set on Thanksgiving Day, 1983.

Sequel to "The Second Face". Mark, very different now from the boy that visited his blonde cousin in Maine, is getting to like who he is now. Trouble is, he's all by himself. He misses his cousin, who offers a simple solution to a complicated problem.

What if Mark hadn't become Henry's enemy? What if they'd stayed friends? NOTE: Uses some canon text from the 1993 movie's tie-in novel. Also, the title is borrowed from the German-release title for the film, "Das Zweite Gesicht".
