Thetis never comes to write Patroclus' name on the grave, so he is left alone, on Earth. That is until, one day, his ghost meets with the reincarnation of Achilles.

Patroclus is teetering on the edge. Stuck in a whirlwind of his own depression and diffidence, he struggles to step back into the real world. Then he meets Achilles, who might or might not change a few things.

The song of Achilles characters are taken to a room to read about the Past and Future of Patroclus and Achilles through the eyes of Patroclus.

This is a story set to a song that is reminiscent of Patrochilles, their life, love and loss.

Chiron's words leave Achilles to wonder what it will be like for Patroclus after he is gone. Then Patroclus goes missing, and he becomes the one left behind.

Obviously, this was a thing that he didn't want; and while that shattered Patroclus, he'd rather live every day of his life broken into pieces if it meant Achilles would be whole. If it broke Achilles, if it destroyed him, if it made him die on the inside like this, then it was no good for his Companion.

I dream of his death often in those early weeks. He is gone, and all things swift and bright and beautiful have gone with him. He is gone, and my chest feels hollow, as though his phantom has reached inside it, pulled out my still-beating heart, and crushed it into dust. That is alright, I think. I do not intend to live when he is gone.
