Starsky and Hutch find themselves in a world of crazy when their conversation is overheard by someone who takes them a bit too literal. This story will have you in stitches as they try to solve the case and figure a way out of their dilemma.

Franklin is the man who that Starsky & Hutch helped instead of arresting in the episode The Crying Child. He stole some food from a grocery store to feed his little kids. This is the story of what put Franklin in that position and how that little act of kindness and compassion changed Franklin's life forever. This story is told from Franklin's point of view.

Note that all chapters are posted at once. I wasn't planning on writing a Van abuses Hutch story, but the topic came up on a Starsky and Hutch Facebook group.

Note: Safe to read at work. Some of this story does not have proper grammar, punctuation, or spelling, and has some overboard repetitions in an attempt to get the story to read the way I want it to. Story takes place in 1971. Hutch doesn't have his Ford Galaxie and Starsky has an old Buick. Neither one lives in a place that has stairs.

Detectives Starsky and Hutch left work five years ago and disappeared. No trace of them was ever found and they were presumed dead. Now it appears that Detective Starsky has been found alive but, where is Detective Hutchinson? Nobody knows and Detective Starsky is in no condition to tell them.

Following the events in "Play Ball" Hutch is glued to Starsky's bedside, watching his partner recover while the city pulls itself together. At precisely the wrong moment, or perhaps the best moment, a surprise comes calling for Hutch.

Post Sweet Revenge, Starsky is recovering but restless. Hutch thinks of something for them to do. This is a toned down version of an explicit story I posted under the same name and title in AO3.

This story has been running around in my brain for years. Recent events have encouraged me to write it. There will be many chapters.
