it's the classic Disney movie except (belle's a guy named beau, the beast is a girl and so is Gaston)

Everyone already knows the tale of how a prince was transformed into a beast and a young woman broke his curse. But what if Belle wasn't the one to save the prince. What if the spell wasn't broken by a lover. Instead...what if the Beast and all others who were entrapped with him were saved by the faith and innocence of a child. And this child's name is Cosette, Belle's sister.

Something made the Beast pause and reconsider. My interpretation.

Adalina, the second life of a modern bookworm, never expected what life handed to her. She never expected to become the younger sister of Belle. She never expected to have her past memories fade from her as she grew older. How can she see the love story that changed her life when she can't remember where it began?

Gaston is rankled by Belle's rejection. Rather than playing to his vanity, LeFou gives him some solid advice. With a little help from Agathe, Gaston begins to see things in a new light. Gaston/Belle alternate storyline.

I love the old animated movie, but it has some plot holes and some problematic subject matter (yknow, good ol' stockholm syndrome and the like). And while the live-action version does fix many of these, it feels bland and soulless. So this is my attempt to reconcile the two, while paying homage to the original stories. A fun and tropey take on a classic fairy tale.

Emilie has been living a life of luxury with things handed to her on a silver platter. She loves her life and the people in it of course..but sometimes she wishes to be living a normal life.
